The fair combines Connecticut agricultural traditions with carnival attractions, live performers, competitive arena events, exhibits and a broad mix of concessions and community vendors.

Admission

  • General admission: $10
  • Seniors 65+: $8
  • Retired military: $8 with valid identification
  • Children 10 and under: Free with a parent
  • Active, reserve and National Guard: Free with a valid CAC

What Happens Throughout the Fair

Agriculture & Animals

Agricultural displays, chicken hatching, a petting zoo, exhibits and scheduled equine or cattle activities keep the fair’s country roots visible all weekend.

Midway & Rides

Tufano Amusement Rides supplies the midway. Ride operations are scheduled Friday from 5:00–10:00 PM, Saturday from 11:00 AM–10:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Hands-On Fun

Daily plans include axe throwing, Nerf battles, bounce houses, a dunk tank, wandering characters and Janoah the Jester.

Demonstrations

Brian Evelich presents Forged in Fire demonstrations during the weekend, alongside scheduled chainsaw and axe attractions.

Shopping & Exhibits

Crafters, commercial exhibitors, home-show participants and agricultural displays create plenty to explore between performances.

Food & Refreshments

Fair concessions and food vendors serve throughout the weekend. Beer and wine are available to guests who present valid identification.

Parking

A Wolcott Tradition

The Wolcott Lions Club was chartered on June 26, 1952. The Country Fair was established in 1979 and grew into a major Connecticut fair held on the Lions Club’s fairgrounds. The organizer reports that the three-day tradition has welcomed more than 30,000 visitors in strong years while supporting the club’s community-service work.

That history is reflected in the mix of agriculture, demonstrations, midway entertainment, live music, vendors and volunteer effort that fills the fairgrounds each summer.
